She left behind hundreds of a capella recordings on cassette tapes as well as abstract drawings of home goods, such as wet wipes, sugar cubes, and toothbrushes. Incorporating her recordings into their work, Satterwhite and Weiss remixed and manipulated Patricia’s voice into propulsive, electronic dance tracks featuring a range of other collaborators. Love Will Find A Way Home was created in conjunction with Jacolby Satterwhite’s exhibition, You’re at home at Pioneer Works, NY.Love Will Find A Way Home contains a deluxe hardcover gatefold LP + book which features 2 vinyl LPs; heavy-duty board gatefold jacket; printed inner LP sleeves; high-res Bandcamp download code; and a 34-page color artist book.
This Limited Edition Vinyl Record is produced on the occasion of Arthur Jafa’s exhibition A SERIES OF UTTERLY IMPROBABLE, YET EXTRAORDINARY RENDITIONS .Artist, filmmaker and cinematographer Arthur Jafa presented a Listening Session on 9 September 2017 with musicians Steve Coleman, Morgan Craft, Micah Gaugh, Melvin Gibbs, Kokayi Carl Walker, Jason Moran and performing artist Okwui Okpokwasili, coinciding with the closing of his exhibition, “A Series of Utterly Improbable, Yet Extraordinary Renditions” at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery.The dismembered jazz ensemble improvised simultaneously but separately at secret ‘Black Sites’ across London. The resulting music was live streamed to the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, where Okwui Okpokwasili performed, devising a time-based work accompanying the discordant soundtrack. This Limited Edition Vinyl Record features the soundtrack of Jeremy Shaw's 2017 work “Liminals”.Originally premiered at this year’s Venice Biennale, the 20-minute film is set against a 1970s cinema vérité aesthetic, and draws parallels between the experimental spiritual gatherings of the ’70s and the effect-laden release of contemporary hedonistic subcultures.
